Well, the second edition of the Paris Talks Conference is now just a month away!

While many people have already bought their tickets and marked their calendars, we know that there’s already huge excitement and curiosity about this second event. Those that attended the first edition roughly know what to expect (though there a lot of surprises being worked up on this year).

For Anyone that’s not quite sure yet what to expect, we’ve put together a rundown of what you can expect at the conference. This Paris Talks quick list of FAQs will help paint a picture of the awesome topics, speakers, and networking opportunities coming up at our ideas festival.

1. What is Paris Talks?

Paris Talks is the event for BIG ideas about the Future of Humanity. It’s a full-day conference featuring a diverse and exciting range of short, powerful, challenging, inspiring talks and discussions (10 minutes or less). Read the full story here.

The Paris Talks conference 2019 edition will take place on March 15, 2019, from 1:00 pm to 10 pm

4. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The Paris Metro Station will take you to the Unesco. Taxi, Chauffeur Privé, bike (Vélib') or Uber are other options to be explored! CityMapper is a great app to figure out your best route.

UNESCO does not offer parking facilities. We highly recommend using public transport.

5. What language will be used?

Paris Talks will be entirely in English. There are sure to be speakers of many languages at this multicultural event, though. After all, the future of humanity knows no language or cultural boundaries!

9. What’s expected of the audience at Paris Talks?

Our main priority lies in having a safe, knowledge-packed, and enjoyable event. To support that goal, all attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at Paris Talks are required to agree to the Paris Talks code of conduct. The event organizers will enforce this code throughout the conference. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everybody.


10. Why should I attend? An in-person conference is costly and time-consuming...

We’re total advocates of the different ways to learn and sharpen one's brain: reading blogs, listening to podcasts, watching youtube videos, and attending webinars, just to name a few.

11. The future of Conflict in the World sounds like a pretty massive subject. How is Paris Talks going to cover it all?

Don’t worry, we have a strategy! Paris Talks will take you into the future of Humanity through seven main sectors that include Technology, Humanities, Science, Environment, Education, Art and Design, and Economy. By exploring these sectors, we’ll be identifying potential sources of future conflicts (worldwide and locally) and, through our breakout working group sessions, attendees will be invited to deeply think and generate ideas, solutions and methods on how tackle or fix these coming conflicts. 13. I can’t attend the entire day. What should I do?

If you’re unable to attend the entire day for one reason or another, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered. Just RSVP and join when you can. Your place will be kept for you.

16. What's the refund policy?

All Paris Talks tickets are non-refundable. Transfers and name changes are available for free up to one month before the conference. After February 15, 2019, no further transfers or name changes will be possible.

17. Ok, I’m in. Where do I get my Paris Talks ticket?

Tickets for Paris Talks are only offered a couple of times per year, exclusively through, and they sell quickly. There is no fast-track or secret process to get a Paris Talks ticket; they are all offered on a first-come, first-served basis.


Important Note: Once tickets are gone, they're really gone. The Paris Talks curation team doesn’t hold any tickets back for higher-priced sales later, nor do they sell tickets at the door.


18. Can I sponsor Paris Talks or donate something to your attendees?

Our aim is to minimize or avoid sponsorship at the Paris Talks conference in order to focus more fully on creating a great experience for our attendees.

19. Can I volunteer at Paris Talks?

The Paris Talks conference runs on the energy of our highly-appreciated volunteers who care about promoting attendees’ experience. Your contribution of time and expertise can help make Paris Talks the leading platform for the exchange of ideas among futurists.

As a volunteer, you’ll be a vital part of our conference and help to write a welcoming and outstanding conference experience for more than 400 attendees from all over the world.
